SentryFile is an ASP.net 2.0 (Active Server Pages) application. It runs on a Microsoft Windows platform and uses the Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and Microsoft Index Server. Both IIS and Index Server are included with Windows 2000 Professional, 2000 Server, XP Professional, 2003 Server.

Active Server Pages (ASP.net) is the defacto-standard for Web Applications. SentryFile utilizes the unique flexibility and time-to-market of this platform to offer the best value in document management available in the market today.

Server-based licensing

Typically software is licensed on a per-user or client basis. This means that each person that uses the software requires a separate license. SentryFile however is sold on a per-server basis. Minimum 200mb free drive space for SentryFile Software.
Network Interface is required for network use.

(NOTE: Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Professional operating systems strongly discouraged as a server platform,  and definately NOT recommended for a production "real world" environment.)

Browsers

SentryFile has been fully tested with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 and later. We recommend Internet Explorer for use with SentryFile. Other browsers, such as Netscape and Mozilla will have limited functionality within the system. Specifically, the document scanning and preview will not function because Netscape and Mozilla do not support ActiveX web controls. These controls are used to provide the scanning and preview functionality. Virtually any browser will work for searching and system management.
